Guys and Roses

Has the thought “Can I give a guy roses?” ever crossed your mind? Never gave it much thought myself, till one fine day a dashing young chap walked right into my flower shop and asked for bouquet of roses to be made for him. He was on his way to see his lovely lady and wanted to surprise her with some roses. Sensing him to be friendly, I started up a conversation with this charming young man… And so, we chatted. While I made the flowers and he did a superb job overlooking. “So…Do you like roses?” I asked, just as random question, expecting a random, unenthusiastic “yeah” but instead this revelation happened. “Of course! I love them…, I used to bud roses as a kid.” He said with a huge grin across his face. This I didn’t expect. After a few more minutes of choosing the wrapping and the ribbons and all the other works of his choice he wanted for the flowers, the young man left the shop with an air of excitement, eager to meet his lady with a beautiful bunch of red roses in his hand. As I watched him leave, I got into thinking… “Can roses be given to a guy?” In my opinion, why not? Coming down to the final analysis, aren’t flowers a representative of a gift of love? Be it to a man or woman? Many women are not sure if its alright to buy rose bouquets for a man at all. Including myself, till I started doing my research and conducted an actual survey with a few of my close male friends. So, all my lady friends out-there, next time you are in doubt to send roses to a guy, have none.
