Happy 2019 all!
So yes, It’s been sometime time since my last write up but here I am back again with something that I hope will capture the interest of our male counterparts. The previous blog was specially meant for the lovely ladies. This time my fair share of attention goes to something for men.
So as a florist, being in the field for many years, experiences have me believe that many young men in love go through a daunting process when deciding to send flowers to a special someone. Ladies, you can wipe out that smirk off ya faces. “How hard can it be?” you may ask, but hey! cut the guy some slack will ya! With so many arrangements and options to choose from, it can be hard to decide what exactly is the best bouquet to send. When have we ladies settled for anything less anyway 😉
So here are some answers to a few questions that were thrown at me from time to time.
Is it alright to send her some flowers now???????
The truth is, you can send flowers all the time. Your girl will cherish them all the more because a spontaneous bouquet shows she is on your mind. You don’t need to wait for that special date or time to send her flowers, but it is always good to mark down the major holidays when she may be expecting a blooming bouquet at work. Start with marking a huge X on February 14th on your calendar right away, note down her birthday, your anniversary etc… Always remember, Ladies like to receive flowers that come with a loving note. Also, do not send a girl flowers during or after a break up. If you want to make things right, you should bring the flowers yourself. (I hope you are taking notes guys…)
What to write?
Remember to always send a card with your flowers. A small, affectionate note will make your gift all the more special. Take your time when trying to decide what to write. The key things to keep in mind are that you should make it personal, and write it from the heart. So no, you shouldn’t be google-ing it. Your aim is to make a good impression, so keep it simple. It will not help if she runs for the dictionary to understand what you’ve said.
I want to surprise her with some flowers, but not sure what she likes. What do you suggest?
Depends on what you wish to show her. Red Roses are a classic choice, they symbolize love and passion.
Choose to go one step farther and send her a bouquet that will touch her heart. Try and find out what her favorite flower is – if she has not mentioned one you can always ask one of her close friends. Sending her a bouquet of her favorite flowers will show you pay close attention. If you are not able to find out what her favorite flowers are, opt for a bouquet of her favorite color. Choosing by color offers you a larger variety of in-season blooms, which will last longer and look nicer upon arrival. If her favorite color happens to be blue, you may be limited in choice as blue is a rare color for natural blooms
The classic number of individual flowers to order is 12, and luckily, most of our bouquets online abide by this which makes it all the more easier for you. Last but not least, make sure you have her full name, address and phone number when ordering. The last thing you want is to send the flowers to the wrong address!!
So, I just started seeing this girl, is it too soon to send her flowers now or shall I wait a bit more???
And you think being a florist is boring… Not when you have created a good bond with your customers like me. You never know, one of these days, I might even start part time counselling and charge them buck extra! Yes, you can certainly send flowers to a lady regardless of the length of the relationship. But just a small piece of advice, if you are still at the beginning phase of your relationship it would be best to deliver the flowers yourself. Dedicated florists are always there to help.
So, that’s all I could let out for now from my treasure chest of flower wisdom!. Hope I have shared enough to help you guys out. Have a good read and take notes if you must and don’t panic the next time you go on-line to purchase your flowers or visit your florist.
Adios till next time and good luck!!
